Antique 1879 St. Etienne France French Gras Bayonet Fighting Knife Swo for sale in Post Falls, Idaho

This is a genuine military antique. An extremely nice example of a French Bayonet

in original condition, no cleaning, oiling, etc. It is mounted with a T-shaped blade which is 20 1/2 inches long.

The blade has a sharp point and is in overall very good condition. There is some darkening of the metal as should be expected but the blade is straight and true. The spine of the blade is nicely, hand engraved "Mre d' Armes de St. Etienne 8 1879", translating to "Manufactured at the Armory at St. Etienne August 1879".

The walnut grips show light wear. There are a few small dings, but very light wear considering age.
